Bedford Kite and Motoring Festival 2025

The Bedford Kite and Motoring Festival will be held on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM at Russell Park, The Embankment, and Mill Meadows. The event programme is available online at www.bedford.gov.uk/KiteAndMotoringFestival.
This free family festival features:
- Professional kite displays, showcasing a variety of kites.
- The Bedford Festival of Motoring, with over 200 vehicles from different eras and a daily cavalcade.
- Children’s craft activities and readings organized by the Year of Reading team, along with performances from notable authors.
- An inclusion area by the SEND Team.
- Sports activities provided by the Sports Development Team in collaboration with GLL and Spiral Free Running.
- Live music at the Mill Meadows bandstand and within the Green Earth Vegan Lounge.
- A canoe trail for water sports and a climbing wall.
- The Green Earth Café featuring a vegan market.
- Sue Ryder Dragon Boat Racing on Sunday.
- River cruises offered by the John Bunyan Boat.

New for 2025, parking will be available at Mill Meadows Car Park for £5 per vehicle (card payment only). Additional parking options include four hours of free parking at Allhallows and Lurke Street car parks on Saturday, and free parking in town centre car parks on Sunday.
