Our conservation activities
A small group manages St James’s churchyard for conservation.
The main churchyard has two conservation plots that are cut and cleared each year. In the new extension there is a grass conservation mix planted. In 2017 the group sowed wildflower seed and planted primrose. These were all grown from locally sourced stock. A path is kept clear through this area and the grass cut and cleared in late summer.
