Cllr Roger Rigby is a representative of Bromham & Biddenham Ward and Deputy Group Leader. He was first elected in 2000. He brought with him to the Council a lifetime of practical small business experience from his family hairdressing businesses in Bedford.
As a Councillor he has gained wide experience by serving on the Planning, Standards and Environment Committees and many outside bodies. He has also served as a Portfolio Holder for Adult Services. He is currently a member of the Licensing, Environment and Sustainable Communities and Budget Scrutiny Committees and is Chair of the latter. His outside committees include Municipal Charities and the St. Johns Hospital Trust. He is also a Governor at Bromham Lower School.
Roger’s Council work focuses on being the link between the people and Parish Councils of Bromham and Biddenham and the Council, helping resolve problems, finding funding and promoting the villages’ needs within the Council.
Following his retirement from the family business, Roger spends much of his time representing the communities he was elected to represent. With his wife, Pauline he has lived locally for over 30 years.
