The Biddenham Cricket Club season is about to start!

The 2017 season at Biddenham CC sees the club expanding its youth section to run an extra team. Teams this year will be run at U9, U11, U13 and U15

Junior training commences at the Pavilion on Monday 17th April and continues each Monday from 6pm until mid July

If you would like to join the youth section please come to the pavilion at 6pm on a Monday evening to register or contact our youth co-ordinator Chris Spurgeon at chris_spurgeon@hotmail.com Senior teams will again operate on Saturdays, Sundays and on Midweek evenings.  The Saturday team will play in Division 1 of the Four Counties League. The Sunday league team are promoted to Division 3 of The Bedfordshire County League.  The Sunday friendly side will operate regularly from mid June until the end of August.   Our Midweek team will play in the Bedford Midweek league and also the Hospital Cup.

Mobile / Library Link Consultation

The Borough Council have carried out two consultations on the future of the Library Service, with a view to modernising services and delivering savings, following ongoing cuts from central government.

 The council is now asking for resident’s views on how the Mobile Library and Library Link services can deliver a more efficient service through optimisation of their routes and timetables.

Orange Recycling Sacks

From Monday 3rd April 2017 rolls of orange recycling sacks will be available to collect free of charge at the following locations:

  • Bedford Central Library
  • Putnoe Library
  • Wootton Library
  • Bromham Library
  • Kempston Town Library
  • The Customer Service Centre, Horne Lane, Bedford
  • Borough Hall, Bedford
  • Some Parish Councils.

Residents no longer need to order sacks online or by phone; they can simply be collected from the above locations.

Biddenham Parish Council are looking to have them available within the village, more details to follow.

St James’s Church Easter Cards 2017

Children from St James Church Sunday School participated in the ever popular Annual Easter Card competition which was held on the 26th February 2017. There were four winners from 27 submitted drawings. The Children drew pictures about what Easter means to them. Members of the Church congregation were then invited to vote for their favourite pictures.

The winning pictures will appear in the  official church Easter cards delivered to all residents living in Biddenham and Great Denham. A selection of the pictures can be viewed in the document below.
