On Friday 2 February 2018, the First Friday Lunch Club turned out in force to object to the new planning application West of Gold Lane. The event took place at the village hall where Joe Warren and Jon Gambold handed out simple objection letters for the proposal. There was an open forum to discuss the various objections and policy applications around the development.

The response was enthusiastic and multiple letters were busily filled in. The final count was:-

The planning application 18/00140/MAO (25 signatures)
Policy 19, (30 signatures)
Policy 23, (29 signatures)

The event was a very successful lunch hour in galvanising the support of the village,

There is still some distance to go in order to get more signatures in place. The Parish Council would urge all people who are concerned about the preservation of the village to take immediate action and make their objections count.

The next opportunity to fill out the various hard copy objections letters with help, will be at the Parish Council Meeting on Wednesday 7th February 2018, prior to the start of the meeting.

If you do not wish to use the internet to object to the application, copy Template  letters are available below:-
(Download and manually fill in your address and name details and send to the Borough Council, note there are two copy letters per single page. Please only fill in one name per objection)

I applaud your action of printing and collecting signatures objecting to policies 23 and 19 and the planning application for 250 new houses off Gold Lane.
There are many who are not conversant with the internet.
May I suggest printing off letters of objection to the above and distributing them throughout the village by hand to maximise the response?

Thank you for your comment, however the printing and distributing of template letters is quite a costly exercise and a blunt instrument. It works best in organised gatherings where help is at hand and there is a willing audience to fill them in. We hope to have another session prior to the next Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 7th February 2018. Other events may follow depending on numbers of objections already received.

You still have time to object to 250 houses being built in Biddenham if you haven’t done so yet. It’ll take you less than 30 seconds! Just click here:
    http://www.have-a-say.co.uk/1800140MAO

    1. Anyone who hasn’t objected, please do so now!
    2. If you have objected, please encourage all other adults in your household to object using this method.
    3. Please forward the link on to anyone who may be interested in Biddenham, the local area or even from a broader region.

Please pass this on to all interested parties, forward it via text, Whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook and any other social media you use.
    Thank you!
